Woven in Italy from fine wool flannel, this Luciano Barbera trouser brings one of classic tailoring's most enduring cloths into a softer, more relaxed expression. Wool flannel derives its character from a gently raised surface that softens the weave, gives color exceptional depth and creates a warm, supple hand. 2% stretch adds welcome ease to movement and supports the natural drape of the tailored trouser. 

The chestnut color develops beautifully across flannel's softly textured surface, revealing subtle tonal variation and a rich, understated warmth that works naturally with our selection of Luciano Barbera sport coats, alongside tweed, loden, corduroy and fine knitwear. A new classic fit for the season introduces greater ease through the hips and thighs before descending to a broader leg opening. The resulting proportion allows the wool to fall cleanly to the top of a dress shoe while providing enough room to sit comfortably over the taller shaft of a field or country boot. 

A flat front, tailored waistband, concealed zip fly, on-seam welted front pockets and buttoned welt back pockets preserve the clean lines of a proper tailored trouser. The unfinished hem allows the final length and break to be established specifically for the wearer and intended footwear. Finished with a plain hem, the flannel takes on an understated city-to-country versatility; a 1½-inch cuff lends greater sartorial presence when worn with a favored sport coat or tweed jacket for the office, club or an evening dinner.
