Sako’s TRG 42 was designed for hardcore competition shooters and yields a high degree of versatility and customization. The TRG 42’s stock is made to accommodate individual demands and is easily adjustable to fit any shooter’s style, build, and posture. This stock is completely ambidextrous and can be finely tuned to fit the shooter’s preferred cheek height, and spacers can be used to match a shooter’s desired length of pull. The stock also features a recoil pad to mitigate kick-back, and the fore-end is outfitted with an integral slot for quickly mounting/unmounting a TRG steel bipod. The TRG 42’s action frame is cold hammer forged and made from special alloy steel to provide extra rigidity and sturdiness. On top of the action frame is a flattop Picatinny rail, making the options for optics virtually unlimited. To ensure flawless performance and unmatched reliability, the TRG 42’s 3-lug bolt features double plungers and a 60° bolt throw – this causes frequent cartridge ejections seamless and speeds up follow-up shots. In addition, the TRG 42 is equipped with an advanced trigger mechanism with enhanced safety measures in case the rifle is accidentally dropped.
